New Year

It’s the 5th day of the year, how’s your New Year so far? Well, mine started smoothly.
Fireworks lasted for about 15 mins. when midnight strikes in. I just slept the whole day of the first day of the year.

No resolution this year, instead I choose to teach myself.
I tell myself that I need to be stronger than I was last year. No plans to entertain disappointments and failures. But rather, I must learn from it and continue moving forward. I’ve encountered a lot of anxiety attacks last year and I am not letting them hit me again this year. I know it will be hard that’s why I need to be stronger.

An Incredible 2020!

Day 366 of 366.

2020 is a tough year. It taught us the beauty of a simple life. A year where we appreciate what we have and not a year of getting everything we want. That, celebrating life events with family is the best way to do it. It was a year like no other.

I lose people along the way. I lost myself and anxiety attacks are getting worst each time. But despite everything that happened, I am thankful because I know I am blessed. 🙏

Thank you to all those people who stay even there’s no time to catch up. I’ll bring you with me as I welcome the new year 😊

Thank you Bro for not leaving me behind even if attending mass becomes a struggle for me. Thank you for keeping me and my family safe and healthy during this time of the pandemic. I offer everything to you 😭🙏

I have a bountiful of reasons to be thankful for this year. Love, life, career, family, and health. Those reasons are enough for me to say I am blessed. ❤

No matter what happened this year, still there is so much to be thankful for. You’re one of a kind 2020!!

May all of us find peace, joy, healing, and hope for this coming year new year.

Looking forward to a prosperous 2021!! 🎉🥂

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! 🥂

Book Review: Chronicles of Narnia

The Chronicles of Narnia doesn’t need any introduction. CS Lewis’ series is made up of seven novels – The Magician’s Nephew, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, The Horse and His Boy, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair, and The Last Battle.  This order places the stories they contain based on the chronological order of events. This is a story where children have adventures in the magical land of Narnia under the watchful eye and guidance of Aslan, the Lion each time they are participating in battles and quests.
I decided to make a review of this novel right after I finished the last book. It was a book with a lot of flaws but I still found considerable enjoyment throughout the adventures. It’s not perfect but they are such wonderful stories and magic that absolutely bring out the child in me.

Blurb:
NARNIA.. where Talking Beasts walk.. where a witch waits.. where a new world is about to be born.On a daring quest to save a life, two friends are hurled into another world, where an evil sorceress seeks to enslave them. But then the lion, Aslan’s song weave itself into the fabric of new land, a land that will be known as Narnia. And in Narnia, all things are possible…

“Narnia. Narnia. Narnia, awake. Love. Think. Speak. Be walking trees. Be talking beasts. Be divine water..” — Aslan

Obviously, this book is where it all started. The first book of Narnia on which showed us how Narnia was created thru the voice of Aslan, the Lion. It introduced us to the first people, Digory Kirke and Polly Plummer together with their Uncle Andrew who attempts to find a new world by using the yellow and green rings that lead them to meet Jadis, the Last Queen of Charn. This first book got my attention. It was a superb way to introduce Narnia to a reader like me. Who will not be fascinated with a talking lion named Aslan, who at the same time created Narnia? The walking trees and the talking beasts absolutely brought me into a new world! The ending slowly gives us an idea of what the second book will be.

Diary #17 | November

We are now on the second to the last month of the year. Akalain mo iyon, days passed by too fast to the point that we are a month away from saying goodbye to this undefinable year. After all the things happened, all we need to do is move on and keep on going. November was a tragic month for the Philippines especially for those who experienced the hit of typhoon after typhoon after typhoon. We were hit by 3 consecutive typhoons, Siony, Ulysses, and the strongest one, Super Typhoon Rolly.

This month should be supposed to be the month where we prepare for the Christmas season but everything turned upside down. I thank God for keeping us safe during those times and my heart goes out to those who were severely hit by the typhoon especially in my beloved province, Catanduanes.

Diary #16 | October 🍂

Trick or treat, Happy Halloween!! 🎃

During this time of the year, kids are now starting to go outside and show their Halloween costumes but this year, everything had changed. No Halloween parties, no treats nor even treats and that’s because of the current pandemic.

But how did my October went by ❓

WORK

Nothing has changed. I still work for 15 days and things went smoothly since I got used to our working schedules. I was lazy for the first few days of the month and I cannot focus no matter how hard I tried. I feel like I was flying the whole time and all I ever wanted to do is to sleep. I was out of myself during those days. In short, that was not me. I realized that while I was working, I also need to deal with different people at work which are my colleagues. Nakakapagod din lalo kapag minsan gusto mo mapag-isa pero nandyan sila sa tabi mo at kuwento ng kuwento tungkol sa tsimis nila. 🤷‍♀️

Self-doubt…

How can you say that a person is a credible one?

I just suddenly asked myself because I feel that no one believes in what I say. Do I still need to prove myself?
It made me feel that I’m still too young and ignorant about things in life.
It made me feel that I need to prove myself first to them in order for them to believe me.

Studio Ghibli Movies (Part 2)

So we are on the second part of the Studio Ghibli movies that I’ve watched for past few weeks.

So, let’s continue!

Castle in the Sky

In this children’s anime adventure, a young miner and a mysterious search for a long-lost island that’s rumored to hold great riches. — Netflix

This time it is a castle floating in the sky known as Laputa, different from what Howl’s Moving Castle had. It is a fun, action-packed movie up in the sky which showed us that a greedy person will never succeed. It features pirates, government conspiracy, and of course, lessons about kindness and greediness. It is simple with no complicated plots and characters that will surely be loved. Dola and her pirate sons brought up the humor in the story.

“No matter how many weapons you have, no matter how great your technology might be, the world cannot live without love”– Sheeta

Studio Ghibli Movies (Part 1)

Studio Ghibli is a Japanese film studio headquartered in Tokyo and best known for its animated featured films. (Wikipedia)

Studio Ghibli’s movies bring us to the world of adventure where impossible things became possible. It awakens the kid inside of you no matter what your age is. There is a certain calmness in each story which frees our mind from all the worries we are encountering. Every small detail gives us an impact that is more appealing with the help of its beautiful animations. Through their movies, they showed us the reality of life that we’re currently encountering, the reality on which we do not give time to realize.

Since I have a lot of time for the past few days, I decided to watch the movies that were produced by them which is available on Netflix. I have no plans of rating them because it will be difficult for me to do it since each movie has its own story to tell.

So, let’s get started!

Diary #15 | BER Months 🎄

It’s September and so BER MONTHS has begun!
🎶*It’s the most wonderful time of the year..”🎶

Here in the Philippines, once we heard the word “September”, we will already start preparing for holidays particularly Christmas in December. So, there’s nothing wrong if you will also play Christmas songs! I don’t know what these songs have but at this time of the pandemic, they soothingly give us the hope of the Christmas season. That no matter what we are facing right now, God is with us and He will never leave us so there’s nothing to be worried about. This pandemic cannot stop us from celebrating this year’s Christmas! 🎄

So how did my September went?
